Jessi Maddocks graduated with her MFA from Louisiana State University in 2020 and her BFA from Colorado State University in 2012.   Her work is primarily made using molds and slip-casting, working in a range of fabrication methods ranging from solid plaster prototyping to CNC milling to 3D printing in clay. She has exhibited work both nationally and internationally. She lives in Fort Collins, Colorado with her boyfriend Kyle, cat Blarney, and dog Noodle.

My studio practice is guided by an interest in combining traditional ceramic techniques with new and emerging 3D technologies. My work is primarily made using molds and slip-casting‒ exploring the intersections between craft and design, traditional and contemporary, digital and analog. These pieces were made by first designing the form digitally using a program called Rhino, and then printing the mug form in several different parts using a 3D Plastics printer.  I made a plaster mold from the plastic printed forms and press-molded a total of 5 pieces that came together for each finished mug.
