Curatorial Statement

The Pottery Construct will include utilitarian and vessel forms that are built in parts, layers, or thru alterations that go beyond the flat slabs and round wheel thrown shapes. These pots are not just handmade, but are constructed, creating complex objects from simple elements.
Participating artists include Jen Allen, Andy Bissonette, Samatha Briegel, Dehmie Dehmlow, Mike Helke, Stephen Heywood, Jeff Oestreich, Matt Repsher, Mike Stumbras, and Olivia Tani.
