Red Lodge Clay – Center Short-Term Resident (ASPN) 2016
Stagnation is the enemy of creativity. During my experience as a ceramic student at Louisiana State University I have learned that momentum is the driving force for creative evolution. My current forms are derived from one another; they are built as a community or to be viewed as their own unit. Building these forms gave me freedom to explore the relationships between the pieces and to produce a varied but cohesive visual experience. The Red Lodge residency is the next step in my artistic growth, and identity.
