Stephanie Galli – Red Lodge Clay Center

Stephanie GalliBloomington, Indiana

Red Lodge Clay – Center Short-Term Resident 2015

It was “love at first pot” when Stephanie took her first ceramics course in 2009. After two short years, she grabbed a passport, packed her bags and traveled to China for the summer and fall semesters of 2011 with the West Virginia University’s Ceramics in China program. During her time there, she was given opportunity to display work alongside other international artists in group shows and speak as an international artist in Xi’an and Jingdezhen. Upon her return to the states she put her thesis work on display in the exhibition, juxta:clay, in Mount Pleasant, Michigan. She received her BFA from Central Michigan University in May of 2012. Shortly after graduation she took off again and moved to Atlanta, GA to pursue a residency at Mudfire Clayworks Studio and Gallery.  After a year of making pots and fantastic friends, Stephanie headed back to the mid-west and is now a MFA candidate at Indiana University in Bloomington, IN.
