Guest curated by Naomi Clement, Always. Maybe. Sometimes. will showcases artists whose work deals with the uncomfortable and murky territory that lives between loneliness and belonging. A no man’s land of grief that sits in our bodies as we long for a place/person/feeling/time/connection that may not exist.

How does one make work that is about absence? About the space between loneliness and belonging?

“A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It is a reaching-out toward expression; an effort to find fulfillment. A complete poem is one where an emotion finds the thought and the thought finds the words.” —  Robert Frost

Participating artists include Nicole Aquillano, Jessica Brandl, Naomi Clement, Janice Cormier, Carole Epp, Jill Oberman, Ashlyn Pope, Amanda Salov, Camille Sales, and more
