Eligibility: Short-Term Residencies generally occur between September 1 – May 1, annually. Please note, summer months (May – August) are reserved for AIA Groups. The Short-Term Residency is ideal for ceramic artists seeking to invest in their personal studio practice, complete a special project, or that simply need uninterrupted time to work in a well-equipped Studio with a supportive community environment. We accept applications from individuals at least 18 years of age or older with non-academic backgrounds, students and/or post-academic individuals, professional artists, and educators for residency periods lasting 2-12 weeks. Acceptance to the program is dependent on evident and developed  skill in an applicants work, the ability of individuals to be self-directed with prior experience and knowledge about ceramic processes, as well as the availability of requested dates of attendance.  If you would like to learn more about our program, please visit the “Past Short-Term Residents” page to get a sense of the artists that have been accepted in prior years.

Scholarships are available for qualified candidates that identify as BIPOC or LGBTQ. Funding may be used towards residency fees and travel. In order to be considered for this scholarship, please indicate your interest within the Additional Comments/Notes section of the application. Should you have any questions feel free to contact us.
